The Staten Island Zoological Society & the South Shore Rotary in Cooperation with the Garibaldi Meucci Museum have made a conscious decision to join forces and produce a cooperative fundraising event benefiting
both entities in their fund-raising efforts to serve the community.

FESTA ITALIANA is sure to become one of the Island’s most anticipated annual events.

The Staten Island Italian festival Event will be taking place June 6th from 10am - 9 pm & June 7th 10am-7pm 2009 At the Staten Island Zoo located at 614 Broadway Staten Island NY nestled between Broadway & Clove Road.

Our Objectives:
The overall objective is to address the funding needs of the SI Zoo and the charitable efforts of the South Shore Rotary Club by presenting an exciting community event featuring the abundant resources and culture of the Italian-American experience.

Expected Attendance:
Attendance in excess of 10,000 visitors is expected. (Historically, the Richmond County Fair draws 10,000 people). The SI Zoo has attracted over 1,500 attendees per day for events such as
Spooktacular, Dickens of A Christmas and Earth Fair Day, all of which occur within a span of 3 to 4
hours per day.
